Liberating Perfectionism

Remember when I mentioned I would be painting all weekend? Well, that didn't exactly happen.  It actually didn't take nearly as long as I though it would! I ended up painting for eight hours, maybe. If that.

I took a picture of it to show you all! What do you think?

Honestly, I think I could have kept working on it, but I was so scared of messing it up.  It took me an hour just to get the nerve to paint the windmills.

I was CONVINCED painting lines would ruin the entire thing.  Straight lines and I do not get along.  At all.  We never have.  I can't even draw a straight line with a ruler!

Believing I was painting with an alternate identity made it a lot easier.  Other than the windmill thing, I tried not to focus on making everything perfect.  Instead, I was able to make art for the sake of making art.  Besides, who says paintings have to be perfect anyway!?

On another note!  Is anyone else having issues with Google Analytics? It says I haven't had any page views since the 28th of September, but that can't be true since I've gotten comments.

If you have any suggestions that could help me fix this, please let me know!

Gorgeous! My perfectionism keeps me from doing paintings in this style, I always go for more of the "pop art" look because of the sharp edges and clean lines.

As far as the google analytics thing goes, you might need to reinstall the code. That happened to me a little over a year ago and it was stagnant until I reinstalled it.
