11 Movies I'm Looking Forward To

Around the time Winter break started, I was hopping around between TV shows on Netflix, trying to find one that I liked and could stick with for awhile.  I thought about Vampire Diaries, because I had seen some episodes before and they weren't horrible and Kathryn was just starting it, but I opted for Dawson's Creek.  Which seems weak in comparison.

I have always heard of Dawson's Creek, but never had a real interest in watching it.  People either loved it or hated it.  I had heard that my mom and sister were watching it together though so I thought, maybe if I catch up to them, we will have something to talk about.

I'm on Season 4 and we have yet to talk about it.  I wonder if they still like it.  Season 3 was starting to lose me, but I pushed through it, hoping it would get better.  My decision has yet to be made.

Dawson is this guy with big dreams of becoming a filmmaker.  He's obsessed with Spielberg and has movie posters covering every inch of his bedroom walls.   He has great friends who would do anything for them.  And he works a movie rental store.

I can kind of relate to his dreamer identity, minus the movie posters.  Replace the passion with photography and the posters done with drawings done by toddlers and you've recreated my life.

Right now though, I'm going to focus on the fact that we both worked in the movie rental biz.

Before I worked at Blockbuster a few years ago, I didn't really have much interest in movies.  My family owned tons of movies that were watched a few times, some more than others. Every once in awhile we would pick up something new from the rental store or the library. Movies served as a time filler, something to do.  Not something I actually enjoyed or wanted to partake in.

It's no secret that the boyfriend and I spend wayyyy too much at the movie theater and most of our time consists of sitting on his couch watching whatever he has recorded on TV.  It's interesting to me because movies have become a big part of my life over the past couple of years.  A much bigger part than I had ever expected.

This year, there are some movies that I KNOW the boyfriend is going to make me go see with him, if he doesn't go with his dad instead. All those comic book movies that are coming out.  Spider-man.  Captain America.  X-Men.  But he isn't the only one who can anticipate the movies that are going to be released, so  I've put together a list of the movies that I can't wait for.
