What I've Been Up To - week 23

Monday: Memorial Day! I woke up starving! Luckily, the family was having another barbecue. YUM! The boyfriend came over to eat and we played with my cousins while waiting for food.  My grandma made so much food and I enjoyed every bit of it. After we ate, I babysat my cousins while my aunt went grocery shopping.  We colored pictures and played games like Simon Says. For some reason, I kept getting frustrated over little things.  I was so worn out after such a great weekend though that I didn't give them as much attention as I would have liked. I just didn't have the energy! After they left, the boyfriend and I took a nap on the couch and I began reading Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe!
Tuesday: Some friends were going bowling, which I've been wanting to do for awhile now, so I went with them.  I broke 100 the first game, but completely sucked the second, but that's all right, I had tons of fun.  We then went to Taco Bell to get lunch because it was next door.  We still wanted to hang out after we ate so we ended up stopping by my house to get my basketball and then went to the park.  Later, we got hungry again so we went to BJ's, a restaurant here in California and we got Mediterranean pizza and a giant cookie with a mountain of ice cream for dessert. The pizza was actually pretty good. This coming from one of the pickiest eaters ever!
Wednesday: was another lazy day. I was so exhausted after the past weekend and then hanging out with some friends that I just needed to take a day to relax. I didn't wake up until after noon and then I sat around reading random blogs (because that's what I do in my free time) until the boyfriend woke up and took me to his house, where we just sat on his couch and talked. When I came home, I washed my hair and then wrote until I fell asleep. It was a pretty non-eventful day.
Thursday: Driving Test Day! I woke up around 8am because my friend wanted to call me at 9am to tell me about these cleaning products she has been using (she works for the company to sign up customers). So I talked to her for awhile. I had planned on taking some checks to the bank, but that didn't happen. I'll probably do that tomorrow. Then the boyfriend came over to take me to the test. I did pretty well....until I got back to the DMV and nearly hit a van.  It was my fault, but I think it was also the tester's fault. I would have been fine if she didn't tell me to get in the left lane prior to needing to turn right! After I failed my test, the boyfriend and I went to his house to take a nap and then we watched Finding Forrester. Then I came home and made chocolate pudding covered strawberries. Yum!
Friday: Another lazy day! I had planned on getting stuff done, but that just did not happen! I did however manage to get laundry done so I could pack clean clothes. Other than that, not much. All morning, I laid in bed and read blogs. The boyfriend came over later in the day and we sat on the couch watching Big Bang Theory until he had to go to work. After he left, I folded my clothes and tried to start packing.
Saturday: This morning, my auntie brought over some apples that were starting to go bad, so my grandma decided she was going to make some applesauce. I helped her by peeling apples, which is one of my favorite things to do! I always try to peel it so it's all one peel. Did it a few times today. The boyfriend and I also went to San Francisco.  We took BART (which is a public transit train) and then walked around for what seemed forever.  We went to the top of Coit Tower and then we went to Pier 39, where we ate at Bubba Gump's Shrimp Company.  I don't eat seafood, but their burger was delicious! After we ate, we had to head back to the BART station because it was getting late and COLD! It was very windy.
Sunday: I ate some of the homemade applesauce for breakfast. It was so good! Then the boyfriend picked me up and we went to church. After church, we went back to his house, where his mama was to be making a dinner. She made wings, rice, salad, and she put out a loaf of french bread. That was also yummy. We watched A Beautiful Mind, Jack and Jill, Head Games, and MythBusters. I also got some reading done. :]
