TBT: How To Play M.A.S.H

Today, I'm going to bring a little nostalgia.

M.A.S.H. or Mansion, Apartment, Shack, House.

The game that so accurately predicted our futures back in elementary school.

I don't remember where I learned the game, but I do know that I spent a lot of my childhood recesses predicting the future with my all of my friends.   I wish I still had some of those predictions so I could share how silly they probably were with all of you!

Hopefully you have played before, but if you haven't, here are some instructions!

1. Grab a friend and a piece of paper.
2. Write M A S H across the top of the paper.
3. Come up with at least six different categories.  Ex. Husband, Car, Career, How many kids, etc.
4. Under each category, list three or four things that could be potential aspects of the future.  Make sure to incorporate good and bad things in your lists!
5. Come up with a number some how.  Some people use dice, but I always used to spiral method.  The writer draws a spiral in the middle of the paper until the other person says stop.  Then, they count the number of spaces within the spiral.
6. Use this number to cross off things from the list.  Start the M and work your way, clockwise, around the paper (or anyway you want, direction doesn't really matter).  Once something is crossed off, skip it.  Otherwise, the game wouldn't work correctly!
7. Once every category has only one item left, your future has been told!
