Life Lately; Week 6

Busy week has been busy...and exhausting. I think I'm STILL catching up on sleep from Friday and I've slept for at least 10 hours everyday since, but I'll tell you all about that a little later.

Obviously, I went to school from Monday-Thursday.  It was the second week and we got our first assignments.  For digital photography, we have to make pictures that represent the word "Path." Black and white- bracket our film, which means we underexpose and overexpose our pictures as well as make a good exposure.  Then, in photoshop, we have to edit an old "broken " picture.  If the picture has tears, scratches, dust, etc, we have to edit it out.

Tuesday was my great aunt's funeral.  There was not very many people, maybe about fifty? But there was TONS of food.  Like, I don't know how those people brought all that food, tons. When I left, there was over half of the food still there! I stole a box of cookies to share with my friend.  We left them on the table outside of the darkroom since we aren't allowed to bring food in and I forgot about them.  No idea what happened to them after that.

On Thursday, after class, I stayed at my friend's house waiting for the boyfriend to get off work (at 2am.)  We roadtripped all the way to Bakersfield. About a 4 hour drive.  He had to take a test so he can try to get a job at the local energy company, but they didn't have any that were anywhere close to us.  This road trip is why I've been exhausted all weekend.

The boyfriend and I planned to eat dinner with his sister on Saturday, so after returning our rental car, we drove to San Francisco.  We stopped at the beach because we were early and walked along the shore.  Eventually, his sister and brother-in-law came too. When we got tired and hungry, we went back tot he house and watched TV while eating yummy enchiladas and other mexican-ness.

Yesterday had been declared as a lazy day, but apparently, I can't be lazy by myself.  Instead of laying in bed sleeping like I wanted to, I took pictures of my cousins for my film project, went to the grocery store with my aunt and tried to catch up on homework.

Also, Sorry for the lack of pictures! I will try harder next week to take more.

TV SHOWS: 2 Broke Girls. Pretty Little Liars. Big Bang Theory.
MOVIES: Toy Story (kind of. Fell asleep)

Life Lately: Weeks 4+5

It's that time of the year again! The time to pack our bags full of text books and head off to school to learn.  It's not so bad.  I'm taking all photography related classes this semester, so it's pretty cool.  That and my best friend is in three of my four classes.

In addition to my "getting into school routine busy-ness," my great aunt passed away last Thursday, so I've been spending time with visiting family and whatnot.  It's nice to see them, but at the same time, the circumstances kind of suck.  Please keep my family in your prayers as we deal with our loss.

ANYWAYS, BACK TO WHAT I'VE BEEN DOING WITH MY LIFE.

I mentioned that the boyfriend and I went to Little Yosemite in this post.  I really love walking with him and I used the picture above in my application portfolio.  I mentioned I was applying to an art school awhile back.  I turned the application in and now I'm waiting on a response.  So excited.  Getting a scholarship and being able to attend an art school would be amazing.

The boyfriend and I also visited the Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco.  It was really cool learning about how Walt created Disney and some of the characters, such as Donald Duck.  Did you know that Donald Duck was created after Walt heard the voice on the radio?  He called up the station and told them that he wanted the voice.  I thought that was pretty interesting.  There was also a miniature model of Disneyland.  The boyfriend loved showing me where everything is.  Can't wait to go.  Hopefully for my birthday!

There was a barbecue lunch with my family that we went to and after that, we went bowling for the boyfriend's brother-in-law's surprise birthday party.  I hate bowling alley lighting, but I got a few cool pictures.  Halfway through I switched to my film camera, which apparently took better pictures than my
digital with the light that I  had.  The image above is an example of what happens when your lighting sucks.  If the blur didn't hurt my eyes so much, I would actually kind of like that picture.

To end the week, there was a Super Bowl party at the boyfriend's house.  Everybody was really excited because the 49er's were playing, which is our team. We barbecued ribs and I made my sauce from scratch again.  There was so much food! The great day would have been even better if the niners had one, but there's always next year!

When I'm not at school or with family, I'm sitting in my room "doing homework".  Tonight, I literally spent about two hours looking for a new camera bag because mine is too small to fit everything I want to take to school.   I found one that I really like on Etsy.  Too bad it's over $100.  Maybe it's worth it. Isn't it adorable?

Pretty Amazing v.10

WRECK IT RALPH!  I'm not even joking, I LOVEDLOVEDLOVED that movie. Vanellope Von Schweetz is super duper cute and the story line was awesome and even unpredictable to me. Movie review may come soon!

Obama is still president! I'm not bit on politics, but I do think Obama has been a pretty good president so far, even if he does get criticized for little things he does.  Everybody makes mistakes! Mitt Romney scares me, so I'm glad Obama is still in office.  Plus, since this is his second term, he will be able to make bigger changes since he already knows what he's doing.

I can blog while watching The Voice! I've been watching Pretty Little Liars the past two or so weeks and it's such an intense show that it's hard to do anything else.  My eyes were GLUED to the screen. Well, not literally, but you get the idea.  What's being said in The Voice isn't all that important, so it can serve as background noise.  I need that kind of show to be able to blog at the same time.

I still can't get over the fact that I have a best friend, that isn't my boyfriend.  We will be in Sacramento today.  Can't wait to tell you guys all about it!

This dolphin tat. Apparently, this guy lost his arm saving a girl from a fire and turned it into a dolphin.  I think it's pretty cool.  What do you think?

 Another week is over already.
Why does time seem to go by so quickly now a days? Hopefully the next few weeks will seem to fly by the same way so I can be done with this semester!

This.

Pretty Amazing v.6

Two years ago today, I met the boyfriend. It seems like we met just yesterday, but at the same time, it feels like we've known each other forever.

Eyesight and health.  I woke up this morning to my grandpa searching for his glasses.  I'm appreciative that I don't have to do that.  Well, I'm supposed to wear glasses, but I don't because every time I try, they just give me headaches and that's no bueno. Anyways, my grandpa actually just got back from the hospital last night after going in on Wednesday afternoon.  He's doing much better, but please keep my family in your prayers!

It took thinking that I lost my iPod for me to pick up my room. Yesterday before school, I was searching ALL over for my iPod. I could have sworn I had used it the night before, but it just disappeared.  After picking up all of the clothes off my floor, Then I thought that I might have left it in my car, which I did. At least I can see my floor now!

Best Friends and Saved Instand Messages. Because today marks the two year anniversary of our friendship, I decided to spam the boyfriend's facebook with dates of "important" things, such as the day we went to get ice cream with our friends or went to see Harry Potter and his car broke down. I'm really glad I have a best friend that I tell EVERYTHING to and AIM saved it all for me.

Begin Again - Taylor Swift Okay, I'll admit that I like Taylor Swift. I have since I was like fifteen, but I was OBSESSED back then and listened to her ALL the time. I don't do that anymore, but I do follow her and she just released a new song the other day.  I really like this song because it reminded me how awesome my current boyfriend is compared to all of the losers that I dated before.  I have actually written a commentary on a journal entry I wrote about an ex-boyfriend.  Check it out here.
